Scatter Plot tutorial
Scatter Plot:
A Scatter Plot shows the scores of one variable that is plotted against the scores of another variable. From the plotting a relationship can be determined. E.g. a data of 50 students between the age group of 13 and 19 are taken. Their heights are plotted against their age. Below is the scattered plot that is obtained from the data:
The plot indicates a linear relationship between the two variables. This is a very quick way to determine the relationship between the two variables however one has to be very careful while investigating the plotting otherwise the researcher will make a wrong conclusion.
