Macroeconomics focus areas
The focus of macroeconomics is in the study of movements and trends in the economy as whole. Macroeconomics comprises a broad field of study. However on the basis of the area of study macroeconomics can be seen as a broad field of study which has two research areas:
- The attempt to understand the business cycle and
- The endeavour to decipher long run economic growth
The government and the large organizations use different macroeconomics models and their forecasts to evaluate and implement economic policy and business strategy.
The areas of focus for macroeconomics are:
- Unemployment
- National income
- Rate of growth
- Inflation
- Domestic income
- Investment
- International trade
- International finance
- Savings
